What are you doing on Saturday and Sunday of next week? You should sign up for the 2007 Aloha State Games. There will be a Time Trial on Saturday, June 16 (Haleiwa to Pupukea) and a Road Race on Sunday, June 17 (Kalaeloa).
Online registration through Active.com and walk-in registration at McCully Bicycle is available until Monday, June 11.

Anyone recognize that guy in the middle? The third one in from the right…
Yup, that’s our friend, Jiri Skrobanek. This is a photo from last week Sunday that was taken at a race in South Peloponnese in the city of Kalamata (yup, with podium girls and all!). Jiri finished 4th in the 125 km road race, which he has shared with us was a beautiful course of mountains and ocean views. He rode as a part of his team, Technal Kastro.
There are a bunch of other races that Jiri will be participating in this weekend including one in Czech and the Tour de Serbia. The Tour begins on June 18 and will end on June 24.
Congratulations to you, Jiri! We wish you the best of luck from Hawaii!

Thank you to everyone for making the Hawaii State Team Time Trial a success. We are pleased that so many of you signed up and participated. There were a total of 28 teams that raced, which surely surpassed our expectations. We even had a visitor stop by at the registration table during the race to share that he had done this same Time Trial…back in the 80s! We are thankful that the weather held up and that everyone was safe.
